So I’ve been contemplating for a couple years now on how I should come about this. As I don’t like asking for help or discussing personal tidbits about my life.
In 2007, my mom was involved in a life threatening malpractice causing her brain loss, broken ribs and nerve damage in both her legs. Resulting in her using a walker. All in which wasn’t her fault. Even after the accident she is very optimistic and humble and hasn’t asked for a thing. She deserves a second chance at life and a little happiness considering what a crummy year she’s been having.
My mom has exhausted every possible means. Insurance, health benefits, relatives’ and friends’ kindness. I need about $20,000 to pay for all the medical procedures, a nurse, her move and a new working functional car.
I don’t know what else to do except to ask. I’m embarrassed to do so, but if it turns out you guys are willing to help, and If I didn’t ask, I would never forgive myself. Please help this amazing lady. I currently don’t have much but I’ve posted up a few reward options. You can donate any amount. I’ll be eternally grateful.

It’s my mom’s Birthday today, I wish I could tell her about this fundraiser as a birthday gift but we’re not quite there yet. Show her some love and donate~
So, I haven’t updated this in quite some time. Things have been on the hectic side. At first, the good kind of hectic and then later down the line, the bad.
This summer, I had a work hiatus which gave me some free time but not only that the stars aligned to my favor and I actually managed to bring my mom to California for a visit! I’ve been living here for four years and this will be the first time she’s been since I moved. She enjoyed a day at Disneyland, (which she hasn’t seen in 16 years!) dining, the spa and meeting my crew and friends at work. She really enjoyed herself and I’m glad she got to experience a glimpse of what can be. The sad thing is, she only got to be here for one week.
I did notice she lost some steam since I last saw her. The past few months, my mom grew very sick. Not too much was known at the time. Things were starting to get looked at right before her visit to California. I didn’t want to take her away from her appointments even though she was having a good time. So I had to cut her visit short. As soon as she got back from her trip the doctors responded to us with her current status and results.
My mom has been diagnosed with colon cancer….
We just can’t catch a break it seems… I’ve been dealing with the news and that’s why I haven’t been able to update as much as I should. It’s been tearing me a part since she’s such a good person.
They performed a CT scan and luckily it’s only located in her colon. She’s been doing her chemotherapy and radiation the past few weeks. It was that or cutting it out and risking her having to attach a bag to her for the rest of her life. The doctor said that it IS curable if she keeps going to her sessions. Which is a very positive thing.
I told her about all the generous people and friends who donated to this fundraiser. I told her people DO care for her and are thinking of her. I still haven’t told her the amount though. I would love to tell her that the full total was raised. I’m hoping she is cured after all this and she can FINALLY come to California for good. I want her to know that we made our goal.
She is in high spirits even with the tragic news and is taking this on day by day. Like she always does.
I’m at the low end of the stick right now and it would mean a lot for the additional help. I just want to finish what I started. Ya know? I want her to have another chance and start a new when she’s cured. Thanks, all. The donation link is located on this post~
Enjoy the creepiness of Halloween with a new “spooky” themed Mickey episode! “Boiler Room" premiered for the Halloween block on the Disney Channel! I will post drawings from it when I catch up!
One of my favorite faces to draw from the “Mumbai Madness” board. I’m glad they didn’t think this was too off model.
Here’s some turnarounds I did for "Mumbai Madness" I always try to keep close to the boards. There’s something very soft and cute about Alonso’s version of Mickey. I always seem to draw Mickey very rounded whenever he does an episode. Jelly bean toes were a nice change of pace.
This is my entry for "The BoxTrolls Nike Shoe Contest." He stands at 2 feet tall and is made entirely out of cardboard. (And glue and paint) It took me 30+ hours to get it movie accurate. It stores five LED lights, three in his chest and two in his eyes. I tried my best to add most of the boxtroll’s cavern with slide, ferris wheel, gears, tunnel, lightbulb mound and box pile with lit up eyes. The steampunk feel comes from the gears while the victorian feel is from the stenciling of the white hat symbols on the inside door. I adore everything Laika produces and I’ve been a big fan since the beginning. It astounds me how much work and effort they put into each piece. I hope to one day own an original face plate from any of the films! Someday. Thanks for creating such amazing films! I’m eagerly awaiting to see more in the future. Great job on BoxTrolls Laika crew!

Another new Mickey ep has been released! Mumbai madness! I had a lot of fun doing most of the Mickey’s this episode. Drawing chubby toes was a treat. I also put in some Jungle Book cameos. See if you can spot them, they go by quick!
Whoooooa! So almost a year ago I had the privilege to design a whole box of “Mickey Mouse Shorts” Vinylmation figures. We never heard word of these being made afterwards so I just assumed they were put on the shelf. Not too long ago, at the Imagination Gala conference they announced these! They’re a blind box set of 8 figures and will come out sometime in March 2015. I had no idea! These are my designs! I got to design toys! Mickey toys! I’m very excited about the news. I had so much fun with these and tried to make them look appealing while still being prominent to a certain episode. I did many episodes so I hope they make more. I wonder who the chaser will be…. Hehehe.
Guess who’s drawing Pokemon again?
This guy is one of my favorites from XY.

Here’s my contribution to the "Popeye 85th Anniversary Tribute Show". It’ll be held at Hero Complex Gallery on Friday, September 5th @ 7 pm. Mine is done in ink brush pen and markers with some pencils and gel pen. It’s called "Well, I’ll crown ya! WHAM!" It’s based on the short “Wild Elephinks” where Popeye goes on a rampage and fights every furry beast in his path. I went with the classic style and I’m glad I did. Stoked to be a part of this show. I didn’t want to miss it. I’ll have this piece and limited edition prints for sale at the gallery! Be sure to check it out!
